Yo, Will! What's up with you?
Nothing much is going on with me, really. lol I'm just waiting for the release of the Xbox LIVE Arcade version of Sonic Adventure 2. And after I get that, I'm gonna wait until I can afford new chapters to the iPhone version of Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective.--Akamia(Talk)(Want to see what I've been doing?) 08:54, August 20, 2012 (UTC)
Ah, I see, haha. Well, to put it in a nutshell, two descendants of a man known as Blutarch and Redmond (Hence, teams BLU and RED, respectively) placed each other on an all-out war with each other, the rivaling companies composed of 9 mercenaries (Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic, Sniper, and Spy). Through various violent displays, both companies have been killing each other non-stop, while the brothers (who live on life-support) refuse to stop the ear for the sake of their greed. This,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], all set in the 1950s, set to be futuristic. The thing about TF2 story-wise, is that it really doesn't need a story, but you can read up the humorous comics they post on their website and official wiki. Pretty much, Oh, one more thing: Get the PC version. The Xbox version is never updated, and is left with very few levels and weapons. As long as you have a strong amount of memory left in your computer,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you should be good to go with the game. Plus, it's Free to Play and Steam, all you have to do is download the Steam Application, install TF2, and have fun with one of the best multiplayer games of your life. No problem! Serious Sam Heavy 11:32,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], August 21, 2012 (UTC)
Since Steam community search is mentally challenged, could you send me an online link please? Serious Sam Heavy 10:16, August 22, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks! You've now been invited to be a bro! Serious Sam Heavy 10:24, August 22, 2012 (UTC)
WB Edit
Welcome back Will! Hope to see you on the chat soon! --SilverPlays 97
4.) Type in the word "WillBubble" It will probly create a drop down selection by the time you type Will and will give you the option of choosing WillSig or WillBubble. Obviously, you should chose WillBubble.
5.) Enter the text into the text section and leave 4 of these ~ in the time section,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Note that if you want to start a new line of text (like i am for each step) then you have to hit enter twice so there's a space between the old and new text.
6.) If you want to see what the results Willaca look like (i made a funny), click "Preview". Note that the bubble won't be very wide but it'll become wider once you click "OK".
7.) Click "OK" and then "Publish"
Your sig Edit
Hey Willaca, something weird is happening with your signature. Sometimes, and I don't know why it happens sometimes and doesn't happen other times, there's a line break in the middle of the signature. This is a bit weird, but it's a particular problem in places like Sonic News Network:Requests for User Rights, because the line break will interrupt the numbered list. Can you check it out please? Thanks. -- Supermorff (talk) 09:33, October 20, 2012 (UTC)
Re: Disney-Lucasfilm Edit
Well, they didn't just buy the franchise; they bought Lucasfilm and its subsidiaries. It was a 4.5 billion dollar deal, and Disney also announced for an Episode VII to be releases in 2015, with new movies to follow every two-three years. One of the major concerns for me and many other fans is how the new films will ride roughshod over the established canon within the Expanded Universe. Will the events fit in nicely? Lucas himself has acknowledge the EU during an interview, so Lucasfilm's new lord and masters will know about it. And Lucasfilm themselves also mentioned that the new trilogy will be an entirely original story. Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher were apparently told about this back in August 2011! They're excited, and Hamill has remarked about "plans" so they may be involved in the new movie. And considering how they've aged, it would make sense for the movie to take place in 40 ABY, to coincide with the fortieth anniversary of Star Wars.
Another concern is over the fan community. Disney is known for having a "we own this now NO TOUCH" attitude over their properties, whereas Lucasfilm was more than lenient with the fans. How will this affect the costuming communities and organizations, such as the Rebel Legion or the 501st Legion; both organizations that are officially recognized by Lucasfilm? These organizations, along with several others, are long-standing non-profit organizations that raise money for charity. For Disney to stomp them to the ground would be the biggest insult to the fanbase.
Other concerns are with the current license holders, such as Dark Horse Comics. Since Disney also owns Marvel, one would think that they would want to toss Dark Horse aside as quickly as they can, and give the license to Marvel. However, again, many fans and creators are and would be against this. Marvel would not give Star Wars such a high priority. Their talent pool has been hit-or-miss for a while, though I wouldn't mind seeing Grant Morrison work on a Star Wars title.
This is going to be a deal that will live in infamy, that's for sure. Trak Nar Ramble on 07:33, November 1,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 2012 (UTC)
They bought Marvel a few years ago. When I read the press release of the Lucasfilm buyout, it seems that for all intents and purposes, Lucasfilm will continue to operate as a separate corporate entity. Fears that Disney may crack down on the fandom may be unfounded, but they're still a concern, as Disney does not have the greatest track record when it comes to those things. Also, they've already expressed wanting to make more merchandise.
There are people who have already begun to sell off their entire collections due to this deal. Others are boycotting Disney and anything that Disney-Lucasfilm produce. Basically, it was bad news for us. Very few people are actually happy about this. I was skeptical when I first heard the news. Then I checked it and was upset. A friend of mine was also very angry. I've since calmed down, and have even warmed up to some aspects of it, but for me and many others who are deeply embroiled in the EU and Wookieepedia. It felt as if Disney had kicked down my door,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], tied me to a chair, and forced me to watch as they burned all of my books. It was a sucker punch in the back of the head.
Though, I will say one thing. Having the Disney castle appear before the Lucasfilm logo, and the complete lack of the Twentieth Century Fox fanfare will be very. weird. Trak Nar Ramble on 07:54, November 1, 2012 (UTC)
Granted, they didn't have the fanfare for the Clone Wars movie, but that was tolerable, as there simply wasn't any music. But. the Disney castle and that little "doo doo doo" theme. Yeah. It's going to take some getting used to. Trak Nar Ramble on 08:19, November 1, 2012 (UTC)
