KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Royals pitcher James Shields joined up with Kansas basketball coach Bill Self on Wednesday night at Kauffman Stadium to film a public service announcement to promote foster families.
Shields has been working with foster organizations ever since he was a member of the Tampa Bay Rays,Monster Beats, while Self serves on the board of KVA Health Systems,Billiga Monster, a nonprofit that provides health care,Beats by dre, social services and education to children and families.

Both of them spent time signing autographs and taking pitchers with about a dozen kids before the Royals were scheduled to play the Cleveland Indians in the second of their three-game series,Beats Sverige.
Shields said of the kids,Beats By Dr Dre, "A lot of the memories they have aren't very good,Billiga Beats By Dr Dre, so if we can create some good ones, that's all that really matters."
